MySpace magazine? Maybe or Maybe Not. But Blogosphere rumor mill has already started pumping out stories about a deal with Nylon, the music and fashion magazine that worked with MySpace on its annual music edition in May.

I think MySpace explorers haven’t still figured out correctly why MySpace was able to spread like wildfire. People don’t come to MySpace to listen to few people (celebrities) but to interact with their friends, explore some new one, and to hang out. Everyone is a celebrity in his own MySpace world, you are bound to find people who share same interests and voice, and that ticks. A dynamic medium, where anyone can create, explore and interact is going to get static. How cool is that?

I fail to find any reason why would anyone need to read the print edition when everything I need is available online on MySpace. Why should I be told who are the most famous and cool guys and bands out there. Let me find it myself. Maybe News Corp bigwigs were unable to monetize MySpace to the level they have thought of while brokering the deal of MySpace so are trying to find new ways to get the moolah. I personally think it’s a terrible idea, and maybe hurt MySpace with its credibility, trust and most importantly - the brand.
